## Configure SMTP

* Open tools menu

* Click on **Global settings**

* Then

* Provide the host and SMTP port. For authentication, include a username and password if required.
* Sender email can be any valid email address.

Once your configuration is done, click on **Update.**

You must then validate your configuration by sending a **Test e-mail**

Encountering this error often suggests your hostname is linked to a local IP in **/etc/hosts**. Delete the entry to resolve it.
